Amber is a teacher by trade who fell in love with fitness back in 2011. It was all motivated by a walk around the block that left her breathless and knowing that a change needed to be made. While teaching abroad, she signed up for group fitness classes in a tiny plywood shack. The ladies’ enthusiasm and the variety of classes inspired a love of exercise. With this increase in fitness, she was able to do things she never thought possible, and learned to love herself and her body even more. Amber enjoys challenging herself physically in many different ways and enjoys sharing that passion with others.
With a move to the Yukon in 2014, she noticed that there was a definitive lack of fitness classes available in her small community. Eagar to fix this, she began teaching Circuit Training, Yoga, and Tabata. The classes were a success and there was an excellent and dedicated turnout! Through humor, struggle, and relationships these classes became a place that people looked forward to attending. It was through this experience that Amber decided to become officially certified as a Fitness Instructor Specialist through Canfitpro. Teaching is her passion and helping other people find their fit, as she once did, is what motivates her in this journey.
